Covid-19 Protocol

We hope this letter finds you and your family well. We understand that the coronavirus (Covid-19) and efforts to curb its spread have forced many of you to wait for dental care. We deeply appreciate your understanding while we were closed to do our part to control the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Many things have changed, but one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety. As you already know, infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable. Our office strictly follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. Your health and safety continue to be our highest priority as we carefully prepare and update our practice procedures and train our dental team to do all that we can to keep you and our team safe.

For your peace of mind and preparation, the following procedures will be in place to provide a safe dental treatment experience including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
  • Our office will communicate with you some screening questions when your appointment is scheduled that you may anticipate you'll be asked again when you are in the office.
  • In order to increase social distancing at your appointment, we may ask you to wait in your car to be called into your appointment.
  • ONLY scheduled patients will be allowed entry into the office.  And you may be asked to respect a one-way pedestrian traffic pattern through our office space.
  • You will need to wear a mask to the office and when you leave, only removing for the time of your treatment.
  • You will be asked to apply hand sanitizer as you enter the office.
  • We will be taking your temperature. Please be advised that your appointment may be canceled on short notice if your screening or temperature indicates a risk of Covid transmission while receiving dental care.
  • You will be asked to sign a Consent to Treat form prescribed by the Minnesota Board of Dentistry
  • We are having medical-grade HEPA filtration systems installed in each treatment room and at the front desk.

We are proceeding with an abundance of caution as we prepare our office and team to reopen. We truly look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we're taking to keep you and every patient and staff member in our practice safe.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors, and friends.

Sincerely,

Brad Dodds, D.D.S.
